|    Simplest phone to replace Nokia 6340?    |
|    03 Jun 16 21:04:17    |
From: rogblake@iname.invalid              I've been notified by my carrier (AT&T) that older 2G GSM cell phones       will stop working by the end of the year due to "upgrades" on their       wireless system. I still use an old (ancient?) Nokia 6340 which suits       my needs perfectly. I don't need or want internet access, texting,       or a camera - just a phone to make and receive calls.              Unfortunately it looks like AT&T does not offer any simple phones, just       smart phones that I don't want. I have not looked at cell phones in a       very long time. What would be something very basic but newer that will       work with AT&T's coming network changes? (I am not averse to picking up       an unlocked used phone on ebay or wherever rather than new.)              --       -----------------------------------------------------------------------------        Roger Blake (Posts from Google Groups killfiled due to excess spam.)       -----------------------------------------------------------------------------              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
