I am all ears if someone can tell me of a better GSM plan than what I'm on.
Certainly, my previously-grandfathered plan of $60/month for 4 phones with
zero data was perfect (unlimited everything else); but it had horrendous
overseas costs so I switched to the $100/month plan (with data) and they
won't let me back on the old plan anymore.

I don't claim that I've even *looked* at pre-paid family plans, but if it's
$30/month *per* phone, then that's slighly *worse* than what I have now,
   which is:
   a. 4 phones
   b. Each with unlimited talk & text
   c. Each with 2.5GB data (temporarily at 3.5GB for marketing reasons)
   d. Europe-travel goodies such as 20 cents a minute when calling in Europe
and unlimited data when traveling in Europe (which is why I switched to
this plan from my $60/month plan as I spend a few months in Europe every
   year).

My phones are Nexus 5 (unused at the moment), iPhone 6, Moto G, LG
something, maybe L6, and Galaxy S3, plus a few iPads.

I'd think that's pretty typical of most mixed iOS/Android households.
