   The time is independent of the number of movies stored on the first phone   
   since the entire card is being moved from one phone to the other.   
      
   The half of a minute was for roughly fifteen seconds to pop the SD card out   
   of the first phone, and another fifteen seconds to pop it into the second   
   phone. Perhaps it takes longer since you're likely to reboot the second   
   phone before you can use the movies on the sd card.   
      
   I guess you're saying that it took something like 10 megabits per second to   
   *download* the movie (or to rip it off optical media), but I was just   
   talking about the transfer time from one computer to the next.

   I think you miss the inherent efficiency of just popping a full SD card   
   from one device to the other. It takes the same amount of time to transfer   
   10MB as it does to transfer 64GB that way.   
      
   It's always about 30 seconds to transfer from one machine to the next.

   Yup. I gave the kids a series of series, and they get huge pretty quickly,   
   filling up the 64GB iPads "in a flash".
