   Bear in mind, *most* of the functionality of the *latest Androids* is   
   already available in apps already, on the older Androids.   
      
   And, also bear in mind *security updatse* by the phone manufacturer   
   continue (e.g., my ancient S3 is *still* getting security policy updates   
   from Samsung).   
      
   In addition, I would *assume* that if I rooted my S3, I would assume that   
   this might enable me to load the latest Android (I don't know that for a   
   fact though since I haven't rooted it).   
      
   Would rooting the S3 enable me to load a later Android version?
