*You always _prove_ to be an idiot, nospam, almost every time you post.*

It's why I can faithfully state that I believe you have no formal education.
o You'd never last even a semester with your purely religious mindset.

HINT: You are welcome to strong opinions - but when those strong opinions
of yours are stated as facts, and when those facts are always dead wrong,
then you really need to accept that _all_ your convictions are religious -
where _none_ are based on actual facts.

The fact is that I'm almost always posting from Linux which doesn't even
_run_ avast (where I generally use Linux lately, only for Usenet).

Besides, that header only happens with _some_ VPN config files.
Given I have over five thousand VPN config files, it's usually about 1%.

We discussed this at length in the past, where Frank Slootweg explained how
it works, & Marek Novotny *confirmed* in his tests on Linux that the VPN
provider adds that "triple-dash" signature (clearly so that a double-dash
   signature wouldn't be stepped upon).

Here's a quote from Frank Slootweg himself:
" These [Usenet] 'sigs' are/can_be added by avast! on the
[VPN Provider] (Windows) system which has a incoming
or outgoing News (NNTP) connection (and similarly for an
      e-mail (POP/IMAP/SMTP) connection)."

Here's a quote from Marek Novotny (extremely reputable)
after he tested it (and Marek is _only_ on Linux):
"That config file is fine. I'd agree with previous assessment
that they [the VPN provider] are adding headers not through
your own Linux machine. [Plus] If you're using their client
      software it would be easy."

Here's another quote from Marek, who literally _wrote_ the Linux-based
scripts that I use daily to read/respond to Usenet:
"Yes, they [the VPN provider] are adding it [the Avast triple-dash sig].
Here is a post using your posted ovpn conf file. I'm connected right now
via that connection and if you look at my headers they added a few
things to it. You can compare any previous headers to this one.
This one will have avast added to it."

   > further, if a vpn provider was injecting that or anything else into
   > user data, it's proof that they're monitoring what users are doing, the

   > happen.

Again, you prove to be an utter idiot, nospam.
   Really.

Even Snit, one of the dumbest of the dumb _understood_ the value of being
able to organize & choose from any one of five thousand VPN config files:
     Snit: "
That seems a slick and easy solution... makes it easy to switch
VPNs as well as allows you to organize them as you see fit."

If Snit can comprehend the value of organizing VPN files by
being able to simply doubleclick on any of five thousand from
around the world, why can't you, nospam, & Jolly Roger, comprehend even the
   _simplest_ of use models?

As for your idiotic statement about "it's proof" they're monitoring my
Usenet posts.... You think I _care_ that "they" see my Usenet posts?
   Really?

*Are you really _that_ incredibly ignorant, nospam?*
o These are _public_ posts for God's sake.
o And the VPN provider already _knows_ my IP address anyway.

Jesus Christ, nospam. You're as dumb as Jolly Roger is.
You don't seem to comprehend anything that Apple didn't set up for you.

The fact is that my approach is intended to hide from header aggregators.
I've told you that so many times that your statement above proves you're an
idiot since you based your entire argument on a problem set I don't have.

Jesus Christ. Every time you (& Jolly Roger) post, I have to shake my head.
Yes, Virginia: There really are people who are _that_ unfathomably stupid!

Furthermore, you _know_ I use mostly the five-thousand VPN addresses from
an *educational* institution for Christs' sake!
o *They're using my posts for their research!*

You're so fantastically clueless nospam, that I'm always surprised.
I didn't think people existed that prove to be _that_ incredibly stupid.

I've said scores and scores of times WHY I use VPN on Usenet.
That you don't comprehend even the _simplest_ of facts, is fine.

But the fact you don't comprehend facts means you really should
re-think the fact that you state facts are wrong when they're not.

The problem with the way your mind works, nospam, seriously,
is that your mind works exactly like the mind of a child works.

You hold VERY STRONG beliefs - they're actually "religious" in nature.
That's _fine_ to hold strong religious beliefs, nospam. It's fine.

But what's dead wrong, nospam, is you on facts.
*Your mind is unfathomably incapable of comprehending facts.*

   Me?
   I only speak fact.

For me to disprove you, nospam, takes all of ten seconds (if that).
That's because you own the mind of a fifth-grade child on facts.

You have never once disproved me, nospam.
In thousands upon thousands upon thousands of facts.

   Never once, nospam.
   You know why?
   HINT: Facts.

   FACTS:
o Ping Steve Crook & other free server admins: How/why are Avast headers &
   sig added to these messages?
