   UPDATE:

   Facts first; then logic.

   FACTS:
o Android already has 5G modems (which will only get better over time)
o All Apple modems basically suck compared to the latest Android modems
o Intel is, suddenly, out of the 5G smartphone modem business
o Apple is, suddenly, cozy with Qualcomm yet again on 5G modem technology

   LOGIC:
Apple was apparently so desperate for 5G modem technology that they,
apparently, dissolved the contract with Intel (presumably at great cost, if
Intel lawyers wrote a decent contract with a poison pill clause):
o Intel Exits 5G Phone Modem Business

And, Intel made an unspecified (likely unfathomably huge) payment to
Qualcomm (which you have to assume is almost certainly astronomically high
given that Apple was woefully behind and likely to never catch up to
   Qualcomm in 5G tech):
o Apple and Qualcomm Drop All Litigation

Apple now apparently has an "exclusive" agreement with Qualcomm
o Which means that it's likely Apple _will_ eventually have modems as good
   as Android already has

   FACTS first; then logic.
