   it depends on the company, the plans and the location.   
      
   around here, comcast has a relatively slow internet-only plan for   
   something like $40, but if you bundle it with tv or phone, they offer   
   *much* faster internet and it's only slightly more expensive. what they   
   don't tell you is by doing so, you also pay taxes and fees.
