That's why they don't want to be a part of an overtly anti-Russian Ukraine. It was a mistake that Gorbachev and Yeltsin gave away those area to the newly formed Ukraine when the USSR dissolved. The Maidan Uprising (a part of Obama's "Color Revolution" drive world wide) deposed the democratically elected president. He was pro-Russia because he knows what's best for Ukraine.
