   Wanting to be like EUROPE over looks the instibillity of those NATIONS   
   and how it led to TWO WORLD WARS in ONE CENTURY and there were millions   
   upon MILLIONS of humans (both civilian and Military) killed in those   
   wars, which means that banning guns may have caused even more deaths   
   than the U.S. which has less death but higher personal ownership of guns   
   for personal protection.   
      
      
   If guns as PERSONAL PROTECTION don't reduce deaths in a war why do you   
   hand them out to your own TROOPS to stay alive?  And if more people die   
   in a war then keeping all out war between NATIONS should be the goal and   
   that would mean preventing wars should be the actual goal and the   
   POPULATION having their own guns is a likely way to reduce, all-out-war   
   since conflicts that result in fights to the death locally are more   
   likely to quell the urge to create violence NATIONALLY.   
      
   Al in all, it's probably safer in the USA than in EUROPE when you   
   calculate all the death during wars and where they happened. You being   
   safer in the USA then you might want to re-think your fear of guns and   
   instead FEAR European GOVERNMENTS, because they are presently leading us   
   into a war that will NOT just kill Millions but the additional disease   
   and starvation will kill Billions.  Figure that one into your Europe is   
   much safer algorithm....   Safer is relative to the years you live.   
      
      
   I'll keep the guns close and the Sociopath's and Murderers closer,   
   rather than setting them up in power in Europe and NATO and the United   
   Nations with Armies and NUCLEAR WEAPONS and all the guns and the ability   
   to herd people into Concentration camps...  we've seen where that leads.
