   This is probably adolescent nonsense rather than adult but anyway,   
   here we go:   
      
   When I was a callow youth of but 14 Summers I had a bell mounted   
   beneath my bottom, under my bicycle saddle.  The bell I used was   
   a tiny, super-light, one-tinger to minimise the weight penalty.   
      
   It was to comply with the ordinance that 'bicycles must be fitted   
   with a device to give an audible warning of approach'.  A bell   
   mounted on the handlebar would have spoiled the aerodynamic   
   performance of my fiery steed and looked naff besides.   
      
   If anybody tried to castigate me for lack of a bell I could just   
   point at my arse.
