   My family unit is not an issue either.  I think it becomes an issue when the   
   family decides to make it an issue by pointing out the fact that their   
   "family" is "different" than the norm.  Our "family unit" doesn't hide the   
   fact we are gay parents, but we don't advertise either, as we are a family   
   first, our sexuality has nothing to do with educational issues.  Being gay,   
   to us, is just a minor aspect to our lives.  We don't "parade", we don't   
   "hang rainbow flags, etc". we just are a family with no hidden agenda beyond   
   raising our children the best we can.
