From: bwebb1104@cox.net              Oh my, "Albertsons".....I miss Albertsons sooo much.              Yeah, prices have been increasing for years. They just really did a major jump       here after the wicked witches, along with everything else. I do see some       things       tapering off. Groceries are still high, but I am seeing sales, and if its a       real       food, not a friggin bag of chips, then I buy it. For awhile, I thought I was       going       to grow feathers....lol. And fruit, well it was from the carton, as I am not       spending outlandish prices of fresh produce that is not even fresh. I watched       the       $2.99 pound cantalopes rot on the shelves.              The Sam's close to me finally reopened, they had gas for $2.64, not sure if       its a       special or what. All I know is I have not seen prices that low in many months.              I've got "back to school night" tonight, I am not in the mood for it. By the       time       I stop the clean up, and deal with whatever the disaster of the day is, I       exhausted       and just want to eat and go to bed. But I need to go and meet some new       teachers       they gained from the ones who left the state.              Carolyn wrote:              > yeah they have...along with everything else.....we were shopping Winn       > Dixie because it was right across the street and they did have the best       > prices around...now that we've moved we have an Albertsons, Publix and       > Sweetbay (Kash n Karry) each on a corner of the same       > intersection.....Sweetbay averages us about $20 less than the other       > two.....but the other two have far better selection.
