   You need to understand that these old machines required full rebuilds at   
   least one a year in the old days. 1930s technology is nothing like   
   todays and while they overbuilt the mechanism it does wear and require   
   service.   
      
   Taking it apart, cleaning, replacing/adding bushings to the drive shafts   
   is normal procedure. We use bushings that have oil slots cut in them   
   unlike other suppliers whose bushings are simply smooth and actually are   
   unsuited for the slow speed application of the main gear shaft and the   
   heart cam shaft according to bushing manufacturers...
