|    AMI Rowe TI-2 Problem    |

From: dtucker4@bigpond.com              Hello again people,       I would like to start by thanking Kreed for the last post response, it       sorted my problem and its playing nice.       But...A couple of little annoying things,              1. It sometimes doesn't want to play selections 101-120 or so. Any selection       after usually works fine. When you select say 101, it goes off and plays       185 instead, seems to have a pattern to it playing the same record number       each time, sometimes its the immediate next record. Sometimes does the       search and then just goes to its home position and plays nothing.       The digits register on the display correctly so Iam thinking maybe the       encorder or the memory unit are fowling up somehow.       2. It sometimes (after playing a slected record) goes off and does its own       thing playing records at random sometimes selecting non-existant records in       the in-between gaps on the selector.              I have checked the continuous play switch (20mins 40 mins etc) and its set       to off.       I think the memory unit on this. I will probably replace the pin headers and       sockets connecting the encoder to the memory unit and see how it goes. All       LED's sequences are indicating correctly going off the manual.       3. I get a pop noise, when the record finishes, its like the mute relay is       kicking the sound a little too late after the needle lifts off the record at       its end.       Probably an adjustment on a switch or is this normal? If its a switch,       which?              Otherwise, its working great. I have the manual now and its a re-print and       doesn't include the section on the encoder alignment :( and I really want to       get in and oil it in the right places and tune it up, it deserves it. The       manual I think is very good, it also shows how to solder components and       remove IC's, test transistors and the like, didnt expect so much detail like       this in a manual like this.       I hope you guys can help.              Regards all and a Merry Juke-Box Party Christmas.              Cliff              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
