   I completely agree about using SOMETHING to protect the records.  Sadly,   
   there are people on eBay who feel that "eh, good enough" is all they have to   
   do.  Sadder, they keep getting negatives about it, nothing gets done about   
   it, and people keep bidding and buying.  Typical eBay and PayPal "screw the   
   loyal and protect the dishonest money makers."   
      
   With your last comment, my opinion is now 90-10 for fault.  I've also taken   
   a gamble with something like this and ended up unhappy.  Fortunately, your   
   purchase wasn't the most expensive.  I know that price is not the point, but   
   it does help that it wasn't a $500 item.   
      
   You did the right thing to e-mail him and ask how they played.  He was   
   probably honest with his answer, but as you said, with the poor packing,   
   they don't play that well anymore.  I will never understand how someone can   
   just throw an item in the box with either poor or no packing.   
      
   Thanks for the heads-up.  I'm sure others in here appreciate the caution,   
   too!  I know I will avoid this seller.
