   The scan switch did nothing, and when you turned the machine on, the CD rack   
   would  spin, and random CD's would get plucked and put on the player. And you   
   would get error    
   messages on the read-out.I did have about twenty burnt CD's, but that has been   
   reduced to fifteen, and the machine does recognize them.
