|    SEEBURG DS 160....Is this the best sound    |
|    04 Feb 13 05:56:39    |
Yesterday i got a chance to make a repair and see again a DS-160 i had       restored to perfection near 15 years ago.The person said the juke was make a       loud knocking sound when the record was being playing.              I get there and start truobel -shooting the problem finding the needle brush       linkage not working freely and getting out of the way of the record.I work my       magic to get it loosen up and get it freely working again and also give the       mech a few drops of        needed oil.I also had to take a part and clean the round dish like part that       holds the record in place when playing.Once i completed my work i played about       10 to 20 records without any problems.              I forgot and couldn't believe how great the sound quality was with this       jukebox and the power the amp has.              I have heard almost all of the Seeburg jukes from the 1951 to 1961 and think       the DS-160 could be the best sounding box out of the all.I have a Seeburg R       waiting to get restored at home and think perhaps this could be a better       sounding box then the DS-160?              Let me know what you Seeburg lovers think is the best sounding Seeburg model       jukebox out there.I would like to hear your opinions.       Thanks              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
