From: jukeboxrepairman@gmail.com              You may have multiple issues involved, but to start with, you need to order a       manual for your jukebox so that you can learn how to pull up your error codes,       and what they mean. From your description, I'd suspect a dirty CD lens in       conjunction with either        a faulty mech control board or faulty CCC. Could even be a failing power       supply. Get the manual first. Then clean the lens and pull up your error       codes. Do not attempt to clean the lens without taking proper static control       measures as covered in the        manual. Otherwise you can easily destroy the player or shorten its life.              Thomas                                                 On Monday, May 6, 2013 4:41:48 PM UTC-5, amyinnola wrote:       > hi everyone       >        > I recently got a cd51 from a film set sale, and it *does* (sort of)       >        > work.       >        > did a full initialize (even though not every slot is full, figured that       >        > would be better than doing individual initialize). anyway the issue is:       >        > only one or two of the (around 40) cds will even play, and then the cd       >        > player will play the song but the cd player skips and makes the song all       >        > distorted (brand new cds so I know it's not cds that are scratched up)       >        > the ccc has on the 5v light but doesn't have any lights that seem "bad"       >        > UNTIL the cd player starts skipping all over the place, then the system       >        > error lights up on the ccc and the error light lights up on the cd       >        > player control computer as well.       >        > im scared that if I keep trying to fix it, I will screw it up worse!       >        > im not an electrical whiz so plain English would be helpful here       >        > my well-meaning mother thought she would call a tech to show her how to       >        > run the maching, but I wasn't there when he came out, and so his service       >        > call was totally useless, and he is super unreliable (called him a week       >        > ago to no avail). even just me tinkering with it has been because of       >        > lurking on these forums...       >        > so on another note, if anyone knows a new Orleans person who could come       >        > out to my home on a service call that;d be helpful!       >        > thanks in advance       >        >        >        >        >        >        >        >        >        > --        >        > amyinnola              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
