Camp, really any of the domestically manufactured --brand name-- tubes made       into the early 1980s should be OK.              There were JAN (Mil spec) tubes made by several co's that are mechanically       more rugged, but for juke use I didn't find any other advantage.              When I used these tubes commercially, I saw around 3-5 months of reliable       stepper operation and perhaps 2 years in trip. In the LPC series machines       where the trip tube only operates on readout and powers an 1100 ohm relay (as       opposed to 250 direct trip        coil on earlier models) the trip tube would last a lot longer.              Most important to tube life is being sure that the tube does not conduct until       it has warmed up.              Rob/NYC              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
