   I've used generic surplus ones for less than $1 that worked just fine.   
   It's been years so no I don't have the info for them anymore.   
      
   Actually one time in a bind, I cut and pulled the IR LED from a   
   different style U shaped sensor and used it to replace the led in the   
   original one.
