I have a couple of 78 rpm albums (three discs each) of cowboy shows.   
   These are fuly scripted and acted.  One stars Sunset Carson.  The   
   other features Monte Hale.  They're on the Action Records label, 6607   
   Sunset Blvd, Hollywood and appear to be of late '40s or early '50s   
   vintage.   
      
   They seem NOT to be recordings of radio shows but rather produced   
   specifically for issue on disc.  The front cover of the Carson set   
   proclaims:  "An exciting tale of the old west, dramtized on   
   unbreakable records with a complete cast of characters, sound effects,   
   and music."  It further promises:  "If it's an Action Record...it's   
   clean, wholesome adventure...teaching the spirit of fair play!"   
   (their emphasis)   
      
   I've searched the 'net for documentation on these and have come up   
   totally empty.  Nothing shows up on any general web search I've been   
   able to construct and there are none currently being offered on eBay   
   and none recently sold on eBay.  I've checked the eBay listings off   
   and on for six months or more.   
      
   The back cover of the Carson set lists seven other titles in the   
   series and nine titles featuring Monte Hale.  I'm astounded that that   
   many titles featuring fairly well-known and well-collected B-movie   
   cowboy stars could have so completely have disappeared from view   
   (assuming all were actually issued).   
      
   Does anyone else have some of these titles?  Is there any discographic   
   source for kids records that might give information on when these were   
   recorded and who some of the other actors might be?
