XPost: uk.rec.audio.vinyl, rec.music.collecting.vinyl, rec.music       marketplace.vinyl       From: nigel@broadhead2704.freeserve.co.uk              Hello Dean,               Personally I would use Ebay, I know that it gets a lot of bad press but       I have found it very useful for selling collectable albums. There are       collectors particularly in Japan and the USA who have money to burn on the       right items. Describe your lp's thoroughly, actually highlighting any       defects like creases on the cover, scuffs and scratches on the vinyl and       whether they can be felt with your fingernail and whether they sound or not.       Pack records securely and use stiffeners, the airmail postal service is       brutal with parcels and packets. It tales up a lot of time, be warned, but       at the end of the day it is great fun and in my case the few collectable       lp's I have picked up and sold over the last year has paid in full and left       me some change for over 1000 records. A self sufficient hobby! Tom and       Barbara would be proud of me;o)              All the best,              Nigel.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
