From: me@privacy.net              I would say they have some value. One way to see what pressing a record       was is to look in the runoff. You will often see some markings there--       twist the album in a strong light to get a better view. Once you have       those markings, go to google and type them in, something might come up.              Other clues are the matrix number, what type of label the record has and       also mono/stereo. You can usually tell if it is mono or stereo by the       label or the matrix number or the cover. Not always though as sometimes       a mono record got released with the stereo cover and vice versa.              With Pink Floyd there are no doubt websites probably devoted to different       pressings.                     On Mon, 2 Aug 2004, mc wrote:              > The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967) original 67 british pressing #       > scx6157 stereo never been played outstanding condition       >       > Saucer full of secrets (1968) original 68 british pressing # scx6258       > stereo never been played cover is a little natted       >       > Are they worth anything?       >       > Also, is their some concrete way to know when they were pressed.
