|    Help! New skipping problem    |
|    23 Aug 04 21:56:24    |
From: fortytwo@bellsouth.net              Hey there,              I just moved into a house that is not built on a slab foundation - I       think they call this type of foundation a "Pier and beam" foundation -       another way of putting it is that basically it has a crawl space       underneath the house. Whenever someone walks around I feel it in the       floor - hard wood floors and some carpeted areas. I moved my records in       (only 1200, though I'm working on it) and tried playing one when someone       ran across the floor and it skipped. Now, in my old house, which was       built on a concrete slab, I didn't have this problem. I don't know what       to do as I really enjoy my records and don't want to have everyone       sitting in order to listen to them.              Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Right now my       turntable is on top of the television as well as some other components.              Thanks,              Stan.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
