From: pvg@camerama.demon.nl              From the estate of my deceast father (98yars old)       I got here some old records.       They look somewhat like normal 45 single records       but they are 78 speed revolution.       I do not know what to do with them, I have listened       to 'em - quality is sort of OK, no scratches -       only the music is terrible to my taste.       No names of performers,no names of composers mentioned       on the labels.              The diameter of 4 of 'em is 13cm - original covers              Bell records:(J.E. Hough Ltd - Edison Bell works, London       nr.281 - over the waves/ donau wellen valse       nr.347 - maritana/ moonlight and roses       nr.735 - my eye waltz/ at dusk       nr.740 - hot stuff/ midst the heather              then there are 5 of 'em 15cm              Bell records:(J.E. Hough Ltd - Edison Bell works, London       nr. 368 - celestina/ wanna go back blues       nr. 373 - then i'll be happy/ blue danube waltz       nr. 775 - barcelona/ magic moments )        (sticker on the cover "M.Abrahams & zonen" Amsterdam)        (date on the cover 23-2-1927)       nr. 779 - that certain party/ the elves picnic              then there are 2 of 15cm       Dixyphone record made in England                     nr. 503 - the toy drum major/ hearts and flowers       nr. 519 - you must have a little of fun              Please advice what to do with them? - chuck 'em in the dustbin?       des anyone wants them? - at no costs - ony mailcosts - I'm in The       Netherlands. They are rather heavy and probably breakable too.              please advice - Thank you -              Patrick van Griethuysen              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
