   Steve, sorry but i dont think you read my message well. the problem is with   
   the line in cable   
   connected to my PC, it seems hot like its not grounded. Forget the preamp or   
   the turntable.The line in cable is humming all by itself, when i disconnect   
   the two jacks from the back of the preamp, the line in cable connected to my   
   Pc is humming, the problem is there, is my PC not grounded well, is it the   
   soundcard, the cable itsself?
