XPost: rec.collecting.stamps.marketplace       From: nknight@mr2ice.com              Hi,              It started with covers - I started "recollecting" these after 25 years away       from the hobby. Now it's spread into stamps themselves. I'm just a       collector looking for a good start, not a dealer looking to build inventory.                     WTB: OLD (used) Scott International Albums Volumes 1 -> 6 with stamp       contents - the more (neatly) filled they are, the better.                     I'd prefer neat, clean, ready to expand albums. However, I'm not against       buying a sloppy one or two packed with stamps that can be used to expand       something else, when I find it.              I started a couple of weeks ago on eBay, buying some adandoned collections       in various albums. I've purchased a couple of solid, usable items, and I've       received some junk. Thankfully, I didn't pay too much for the junk! I       don't feel I've paid too much for any of it; but I'd like to focus on       quality pieces now.              I've got a nice Vol 2 created out of 2 separate albums. And I've got a       couple Vol 1's coming; we'll have to see what each looks like and how they       might be combined. Volumes 1->4 are most interesting to me. I've got my       scopes on some other material on eBay, however ...              Often photos are few and misleading, as is the text descriptions. I've       written a couple of sellers with simple questions, like "Which volumes are       these?". I usually get short answers that don't really relate to the       question. Not always, I've found one fellow who's really good.              I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here. If anyone has material that they       think I might be interested in, please email me at nknight@mr2ice.com.              Thanks in advance,              Nick              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
