|    Converting Bound Scott International Pag    |

XPost: rec.collecting.stamps.discuss       From: bhnc_140_@mr2ice.com              Hi,              I recently purchased a couple of Scotts International Part 1's. As it turns       out, the better volume (nicest pages and most heavily filled) is on a BOUND       volume. It isn't the loose-leaf binder that I expected. Hmmm. What to do.              I'm reluctant to use this bound book as my "keeper", as there's no easy way       to break it into 2 volumes should it get too full (hey, I'm an optimist!).       Or is there? And that's my question.              Looking at the pages of the book, they seem to be big enough where, if       carefully removed or even cut out at the binding, they might be able to be       punched and made to look "exactly" like the loose leaf pages.              What do you think? Has anyone tried this.              I'm assuming you can get a hole punch that could do the right spacing and       depth. This should easy, yes?              Cutting the pages out while maintaining a uniform page alignment after       punching might prove to be the challenge. And I risk ruining what is, right       now, a nice album. Except that it's bound and not loose-leaf!              Maybe I'll just pick the loose leaf album as the keeper and deal with a       close second choice.              Any opinions appreciated. Thanks in advance,              PS - Is there a source for generic binders that will hold International       pages nicely? The prices I've seen, even the discounted ones, make me think       I'm in the wrong business :)              Nick              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
