   Hi,   
   At the request of a friend I am looking to find out information as to   
   the value of a collection of stamps he has that he wants to sell as a   
   "lot". The collection has about 1000 stamps from dates in the 1860's   
   through 1940. There are a ton of countries here from Algeria to   
   Wurttemburg, many of these countries don't even exist.   
      
   I guess the general questions are is there much demand for stuff like   
   this and would getting an appraisal of the lot be the best route ?   
      
   Is there a better place ( boards or such ) to post this question ( I   
   know there isn't much traffic here ) ?   
      
   Is there a site that would be more helpful?
