   The one thing that appears to be missing with these responses, is the   
   caution that the catalogue value is not what the stamp is worth,  as a   
   guide, you will normally have to pay 50% cat value to buy mint stamps and   
   25% cat value to buy used.  If you are selling, to a dealer you can half   
   these figures again   
      
   ignore very low cat values, say under 50p / $1   these are usually so   
   common, no one wants them anyway
