From: dahoov2@cox.net              Wow, trying to get the facts on some of the "little people" actors       since I have a large collection of them and one of them is the subject       of where to put him on my site...I got a signature recently from       Albert Wilkinson who I loved in Willy Wonka. When I was writing,       someone told me he was a jawa and possibly a droid in Star Wars.       Another site lists Jedi. Two other sites say he is appearing with       actors from Star Wars but was not in Star Wars. So I find another       article that says he was, but no mention of what character or specific       film. However, they go on to list Oompa Loompas. This was       interesting because a couple other people claim to have been Oompa       Loompas and some photos show up to 10 Oompas... but David Wolper says       only 8. Someone else said there were others in the wings in case one       didn't work out but didn't appear on screen. Still a photo I've seen       does have at least 9. There's no Rusty Geoff mentioned there but I've       seen many credits as him being one... and several others on a "little       people" website list Harry Potter and Willy Wonka as credits but       nowhere else does it say that. I saw one time Felix Silla credited       for Willy Wonka (but I don't think so).              I've encountered this many times, with many people. Not just little       people. There are other jawas and Stormtroopers that most likely       weren't and so this makes me wonder: how many out there do actually       lie on their CV's? Hmmm. I wonder if people lie about any film where       there are tons of people behind masks etc.              I usually ask for clarification in my letters, but sometimes, like       this one, there is no response outside of a signature. The best thing       to do is get a hold of call sheets but even those aren't accurate.       I've seen and have a few and sometimes they just put generic terms on       there or spell names wrong.              So I wonder how many miscredited people there are out there! Does       anyone have any in their collections that they wonder about?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
