From: dahoov2@cox.net              Anyone know how you get paid for scrap gold other than mailing online?       Just curious... I know people are cashing in on junk they have. I just       went through my Jewelry and have about about 2 oz of junk jewelry (ie       things I'll never use again or cheap stuff). I have a few items that       are worthless as is; only good for melt value like a kinked chain, a       ring where the diamond fell off (;( was my engagement ring too!), and       cheesy earrings so soft the first time I went to put them in they       broke...              I was wondering though about cheap gold stuff... how do they value say       10k verses 14k verses 18k and so on. What is the criteria. Surely,       the gold content matters a lot. Is there a scale somewhere to look       at. I don't want to go down to a shop or something and get taken....              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
