From: dahoov2@cox.net              Attended an America/Christopher Cross concert last night. At first I       was majorly depressed because First they don't allow photography of       any sort. Second, they didn't even give you a proper ticket       (print-off on your PC thingy as they don't have a will call) and       third, this venue is not good for standing, dancing, shouting etc...       they ushers dress up in formal wear. The crowd was dressed lower than       usual (with about half wearing starched jeans and dress shirts and       about less than 1/4 tshirts). I wasn't about to NOT feel comfortable       so jeans it was...              I saw too, they actually had police around the back (but slick me       would still figure out easily how to get back there) but we didn't       have to.              After the concert, Jerry and Dewey came out and signed for everyone...       anything that they had and did not leave till they were done! They       shook hands, took photos, and talked to everyone. Alas my comment       might have been insulting a bit (unintentionally); as I said we only       get to see them about once a decade. Jerry responded that he'll       probably see me twice more then~ lol. Well he is 59 years old I       guess and I guess that means he'll not stop touring....              Anyway, so got two photos of them and a signed CD (which I had my       husband run and buy quickly as I didn't know they'd sign or I'd of       bring something from home). No Christopher Cross though. But       America was a "class act".              PS they sounded pretty good.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
