   I have been trying Avast, and I certainly did disable the annoying   
   signature advert. Unfortunately, as I'm now trying BitDefender, I have   
   Avast disabled - so I can't immediately retrace my steps to find out   
   what I did. I therefore can't verify the following, but from what it   
   says, you don't actually have to disable Mail Shield - just change the   
   default 'Behaviour' options (which I'm sure is what I did).
