   You can't format them though. What would be the point, you get the   
   format but that's your write once done so you can't put any data onto   
   it. You must create an iso file and then burn that to the disc. This   
   process might be hidden if you copy some files to the disc and then   
   tell it to burn them to it. You can add more files later if it hasn't   
   been finalized but, nevertheless, it only writes each bit of the disc   
   once.
