   You can use the installation CD to format the hard drive and install XP.   
   It doesn't matter which license key is on the CD.

   If you want, then you can use free programs like Magical Jelly Bean   
   Keyfinder to find your old key.   
      
      
      
   Since support has been dropped for XP I don't think it will matter which   
   key you use. You won't be able to retrieve Windows Updates...
