   Ubuntu 10.04 is past EOL and is not longer supported.   
   Versions after that have changed to the Unity desktop.   
   If you like win 8, you might like it.  However, if you   
   are looking for a Linux replacement for XP, Mint with   
   the Mate or XFCE desktop might be a good choice.  They   
   all have live CD's that lets you try before you install.
