   A mate who is worse with computers than I am has given me a Compaq Presario   
   CQ 61 lap top to try and sort out. It came with W7.   
   He totally screwed it up a while ago and a "mate" put a very dodgy copy of   
   Vista Basic on it for him!!!!!!!   
   Then he screwed it up yet again. I've cleaned it up - 20 viruses and over   
   600 items of malware. Its now much faster.   
   He knows that I have a genuine copy of XP Pro and asked me to put it on. The   
   "install XP" button is grayed out so I can't. Anybody?   
   I have a dodgy copy of W7 and the Windows loader, the laptop won't do a   
   thing with the disk.   
   I'll probably leave it on Vista, but I really would like to know why the XP   
   and the Windows 7 disk don't work.   
   Yes, I know that I'm being a bad boy with the W7 disk :-)
