|    DVD Drive Problem    |
|    04 Mar 15 11:42:28    |
XPost: alt.windows-xp              I'm using XP Pro SP3.              My DVD drive used to work OK. However, now my computer no longer       recognizes that a DVD is in the DVD drive. It keeps telling me to       insert a disk.              However, it will recognize my Acronis True Image Boot disk when I       place it in and allow me to get into Acronis when I boot. I think       that's called Safe Mood?              I hooked up an outboard disk player that used to work, and I get the       same message when in Windows. Namely, it tells me there is no disk in       the player/recorder.              The DVD drive icon does appear in File Explorer. When I click on it,       it keeps giving me the message that there is no CD/DVD in the drive.              I am positive both of these drives are good.              Anyone recognize the problem?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
