   	Linux is just the Kernel.   
   	I'd choose a DIST with a good repo of apps and a good   
   reputation. Then choose Desktop environment and apps according to my   
   needs/hardware.   
   	Probably Debian. Though Murdoch's death (murder ? - no autopsy   
   or official investigation yet, almost a month later) might make me   
   change my mind.
