   I agree. For one thing, Office should not impact Windows at all when   
   it's not running, especially if you disable the stub that runs on   
   login. And I, too, have run Office 2003 in a number of low-RAM XP and   
   Win7 computers, and it runs quite well on all of them.   
      
   The problem lies elsewhere.
