   As well as the 'traditional' method - ie letting MS do the updates in   
   its own good time (which can take a while), you can speed things up if,   
   after getting the basic installation disk stuff installed, you use   
   either WSUS Offline Update

   Both provide all the necessary updates (I don't think you even need to   
   start with SP1) - including IE6 to IE8. However, after they are   
   finished, there will still be quite a few of the very latest online   
   updates to do. For these, you will probably need to install Windows
