From: BigAl@invalid.com              I just loaded XP probably SP 0 or 1 into a virtual machine on Linux.       It's been a while but from what I remember I downloaded (or had on CD)       the service packs to get it up to SP3.       But even though it's licensed with a legit key and up to SP 3 it will       not download updates.       When I go to windows update it launches IE 8 and says it cannot connect       that there is an internet issue.              There is no internet issue with either IE or Google Chrome.              It's been forever that I've played with XP but is there some way to get       this working.       I have a working copy on a dual boot on another machine, but I'd like to       get this VM working too. I read lately that XP was going/getting a       fix for some security issue so MS has to have an update server working!              Thanks.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
