It *was* the latest version when I posted my question and it was last night
as I checked. I can see 52.3.0 today, but would rather not go there at the
   moment.
Today I updated AVG, it did not update automatically as it usually does. How
very nice of them to shove down my throat protection against Hacker Attacks
   and Payments........ Payments???
Great stuff, except that the Internet did not work, but email did. AVG do
not make it simple to disable some protection, you need to go into Updates
to access the menu! I disabled their added protection and had Internet
   access once more.
Whilst I was in AVG I started messing about and disabled a lot of stuff. I
have no idea what gismo.dog/poo.garden/donot\makemess.exe/ protect and stuff
   like that means.
BUT youtube on Firefox then WORKED!
After two cold restarts is still works. And no mention of HTML5.
The daft thing is that in the past I'd disabled AVG in my attempts to watch
youtube and it made no difference.
