Intel has dropped the Skylake line of processors. It announced
the new line will ONLY support Win 10. No, not even Win 7 or 8.
    A M$ lockout.
Desktop or not, you will be looking for second hand/old stock
   processors. Motherboards ditto.
Not sure what the game is with AMD. Win 7, 8 and XP still have
over 60% of the market., despite M$'s inflated claims.
