If you have PC Tools or Norton Utilities (I forget), you could try to
'revive' the bad sectors. That used to work quite well in The Old Days
(TM). Perhaps it still works after 25 years.

IIRC, PC Tools or Norton Utilities could make a disk copy of the good
parts of a bad disk. If so, you could make a backup disk before you
start fiddling with the original one.

FWIW, I also still have several hundred diskettes and floppies,
patiently sitting in a box, waiting for a time which will probably never
   come! :-) c.q. :-(
