   Yes I know. I was refuting your claim that I would need to launch   
   another app to read the pdf. The action of downloading the pdf launches   
   the reader automatically. Just as downloading an image file launches   
   Irfanview.

   yes I am.  because I did that when I set up the laptop 4 years ago as   
   that was necessary to view local pdf files in my preferred viewer.   
   Or are you now going to argue that installing Windows 10 is necessary to   
   achieve my preferred setup and should be taken into account as well?   
   I also needed to have an account with an electricity supplier so I could   
   power the PC, perhaps I should have mentioned that just to keep you
