   Well, for instance wayland doesn't work in my vmware, because my vmware   
   doesn't support 3D graphics in hardware. Wayland is still not finished   
   and is problematic.   
      
   Whether those things matter for a plain user or not, varies, but they   
   are not cosmetic or superficial features.
