XPost: alt.comp.os.windows-11, alt.comp.microsoft.windows       From: address@is.invalid              Chris,              > These tutorials are simply Donald's notebook and only of use to himself.              I noticed the same. As if he uses the newsgroup(s) as his personal "work       book", recording every step of his progress. I only wish he would not play       the cruel joke on novices by calling his own learning progress a tutorial.              > No-one else ever has the need to tie themselves into knots like he does.              About that ... I'm a hobby programmer, and do regulary "tie myself in knots"       to see if I can (re)create something the same/similar to what already       exists. :-) I regard the learning process as a reward in itself. The       end-result often lands in the proverbial drawer.              > He likes to pretend they are useful to others to boost his own self-worth       > and stroke his ego.              I must say that I've also started to question his claim that he does it for       others. You simply do not call your own learning proces (where you make       to-be-proven assumptions and are doodeling in the border) a tutorial.              Regards,       Rudy Wieser              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
