   I run Windows Live Mail 2012 on many new and old machines.   
      
   An XP SP3 desktop   
   Two Windows 7 Home laptops   
   Two Windows 10 desktops   
   Two Windows 10 laptops   
   A Windows 11 desktop, and   
   A Windows 11 laptop   
      
   I do not have a Microsoft account.   
      
   WLM previews any attachment (jpg, pdf, mp3, etc.) that is attached to an   
   email, by simply highlighting (selecting) the email.  That is, if I   
   highlight the email, the jpg for instance, will show a thumbnail of the   
   jpg.  If a pdf is attached, I'll see a pdf icon and the name of the pd.  I   
   don't have to open the email to see the contents of any attachment.   
      
   Lately, on only one of the Windows 10 laptops, attachments are not being   
   previewed when the email is selected. I have to open the email to preview   
   the attachment.

   I don't know when this began happenning, but it may have been after a   
   November or December update.  There's three updates during that span.  I'm   
   willing to uninstall an update to see if that is the cause, but before I   
   try that, I wanted to ask here for any thoughts.   
      
   So far, I've done a repair of Windows Live Essentials with no luck.  I've   
   done a System Restore with no luck.  I've also searched and followed   
   instructions that seemed useful, but still no luck.  As far as I can see,   
   this machine is configured the same as those that are working 'correctly'.   
      
   Anyone still running WLM with any ideas?
